Exports more than offset local sales decline in 2014 for Turkey's largest pipemaker
Turkey’s largest pipemaker, Borusan Mannesmann Boru (BMB), increased sales by 20% year-on-year in 2014 to 699,000 tonnes thanks to a 43% surge in exports while domestic deliveries declined, Kallanish learns from the company.
Exports totalled 444,000t last year, but domestic sales fell -7% to 254,000t. Shipments abroad thus comprised 64% of sales.
