Exports boost Turkish automotive production 4% in 2014
Turkish automotive production increased 4% year-on-year in 2014 to 1.17 million vehicles. Passenger car output saw growth of 16% to 733,439 vehicles, while commercial vehicle output dropped 11% to 437,006 units. Automotive imports, meanwhile, fell 15% to 522,842 vehicles. Overall capacity utilisation in Turkey’s automotive sector was 70% in 2014.
