Europe acts to register cold rolled stainless steel from China and Taiwan
The European Commission (EC) has ruled that imports of stainless steel cold rolled coil from China and Taiwan into the EU must be registered as from 16 December 2014, Kallanish learns from the EU official journal.
Registration of the imports effectively means that, should EC investigations that prove dumping and unfair subsidy of imports are in evidence, any punitive tariffs can be applied retrospectively from the date of registration.
