Eurofer nudges European Commission on need for EU steel safeguard provision
European steel producers association Eurofer says that the July 31 deadline for submission of answers to the European Commission (EC) public consultation on carbon leakage provisions for industry will pass without all issues being fully addressed. In a statement sent to Kallanish the association says that it remains concerned that the subject of safeguard provisions for so-called European foundation industries has not been covered by the consultation document.
