Essar Steel commissions Odisha pellet complex
India’s Essar Steel says that it has successfully commissioned its 6 million tonnes/year integrated iron ore pellet complex in Odisha. Total investment value for the project is INR 6000 crores ($970m), the company confirms.
The complex consists of an iron ore beneficiation facility at Dabuna, a 6m t/y pellet plant at Paradeep, and, connecting the two, a 253 kilometre-long slurry pipe line with 12m t/y carrying capacity.
