Essar Steel Minnesota suffers finances setback in taconite project
There has been more potential bad news on the jobs front for the Minnesota, USA state economy. Essar Steel Minnesota has failed to gain further financial backing to complete construction of its $1.8 billion taconite plant in Nashwauk, reports say.
This disruption mirrors US Steel’s announcement that it is to discontinue investment in its Keetac facility also located on the so-called Iron Range in Minnesota (see related article).
