Emirates Steel slashes rebar by $36 owing to China pressure, plummeting Turkish prices
Abu Dhabi-based Emirates Steel (ESI) has cut drastically its rebar price for deliveries to the domestic market in November. The move is seen by market participants as an attempt to discourage competitive China-origin imports, and fall in line with international market trends following cheaper Turkey-origin import bookings this month.
