Emirates Steel slashes August rebar to new post-crisis low
Emirates Steel has slashed its rebar price for August deliveries to the domestic market by AED 145/tonne ($39/t) from the previous month to AED 1,690/t ($460/t) ex-works. This new price is the lowest since the aftermath of the 2009 economic crisis, beating the previous AED 1,760 low seen in April and May this year.
