Egypt to auction oil & gas blocks in bid to ease energy shortages for industry
Egypt plans to hold an international auction for eight oil and gas exploration blocks in the Mediterranean Sea in a bid to meet rapidly-increasing energy requirements. The move would boost Egyptian steel mills and direct reduced iron (DRI) plants that regularly suffer from power outages and fuel shortages, respectively.
