Malaysias Eastern Steel finally ships its first slab
Malaysia’s Eastern Steel has shipped its first slab, marking the first overseas production for China’s Shougang, which owns 40% of the project. The project plans to supply slab to re-rollers across Southeast Asia, Kallanish notes.
