ESI maintains rebar price despite downside expectations on Turkey-origin offers
Abu Dhabi-based Emirates Steel (ESI) has kept unchanged its previous month’s price of rebar at AED 1,835/tonne ($500/t) ex-works for July deliveries to the domestic market. This is despite the expectation that its price would decrease owing to a $10-15/t decline in Turkey-origin rebar offers to United Arab Emirates since a month ago.
