ESI increases rebar price $20 after scrap hike, lifts Turkish mills' hopes
Abu Dhabi-based Emirates Steel (ESI) has increased its price of rebar for June deliveries to the domestic market by AED 75/tonne ($20) from the previous month to AED 1,835/t ($500) ex-works. The main driver behind this was the hike since last month in scrap prices and therefore also Turkey-origin rebar prices, market participants tell Kallanish.
