ESI cuts costs with metal recovery from EAF slag

Emirates Steel (ESI) has brought on line two slag processing plants at its Abu Dhabi-based steelworks, ESI tells Kallanish. These will enable recovery of 3% of its electric arc furnace slag as metal for re-use in steelmaking, thus cutting costs, the steelmaker says.
