Deutsche Edelstahlwerke looks to sell surplus heat to external users
Schmolz + Bickenbach’s special long products manufacturing subsidiary Deutsche Edelstahlwerke (DEW) in Siegen, Germany is trying to encourage the use of surplus heat generated by its production processes by external users.
The mill is one of six regional companies that have joined up with the city council of Siegen which has plans to establish a district heating grid and is now promoting the project to potential customers in the region.
