Ukraine scrap deficit remains in April while exports rise further; Interpipe
Ukrainian mills continue to experience a local scrap deficit, which in April was 67,000t, or 17% of domestic requirement, according to local EAF-based steelmaker and seamless pipe producer Interpipe. Scrap exports are seen as the main cause for the deficit. These amounted to 139,000t last month, Kallanish notes.
