DRI output falls in every Middle Eastern country in May

Direct reduced iron production in May declined in each of the four Middle Eastern countries covered by the World Steel Association’s monthly report, Kallanish learns from worldsteel. Iranian DRI output plunged -18% on-year in May to 1.04 million tonnes, even though crude steel production that month rose 2.4% to 1.46mt.
