DRI output falls in every Middle Eastern country in May

Iranian DRI output plunged -18% on-year in May to 1.04 million tonnes, even though crude steel production that month rose 2.4% to 1.46mt. This suggests that either more DRI/HBI was imported that month, or steelmakers used a greater proportion of scrap in the feedstock mix.…
