Coking coal plunges amid poor demand, increased supply
Australian fob coking coal prices plunged during the week ended 5 April amid increased supply and falling demand.
Kallanish assessed premium hard coking coal at $229.22/tonne fob Australia, tumbling $15.52/t from $244.74/t fob the previous week.
On the Singapore Exchange, Premium Coking Coal Futures for May settled at $226/t fob on Friday. This is versus the April settlement price of $247/t fob a week earlier.
