Cognor sees 'good' demand, but 'cheap' imports and BOF mill competition in Q2
Polish steelmaker Cognor says there is “good” domestic demand in the second quarter, but “cheap” imports from Byelorussia are affecting the local rebar and tube markets. A further decline in iron ore prices is seen, as is competition from non-integrated basic oxygen furnace-based mills. Ebitda profit is expected to exceed Q1 but will be lower than Q2 2014.
