Chinese steel demand down 8.27% in July
China produced 65.84 million tonnes of crude steel in July, -4.6% less than in July 2014, according to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). The data implies that Chinese apparent finished steel demand was down -5.27% year-on-year in January-July to 397.81mt, Kallanish calculates.
