Low iron ore prices seen shutting small Chinese miners
Chinese domestic iron ore production volumes are expected to fall, agreed speakers at Saturday’s SteelHome conference attended by Kallanish. SteelHome president Wu Wenzhang notes that China’s major miners are actually planning production increases to around 1.2 billion tonnes in 2015. This will be offset by a collapse in mining at smaller producers, however.
