Chinese exports, DRI delay to impact Ezz earnings, says bank
Increased Chinese steel exports are putting downward pressure on Turkish export prices and therefore pose a threat to Egyptian steelmakers, according to investment bank EFG Hermes. This, coupled with the commissioning delay until October of Ezz Steel’s new DRI plant, has led the bank to reduce its earnings forecast for Egypt’s largest producer in 2015.
