Canada agency rules plate imports harming industry
A Canadian government agency has determined that imports of hot rolled carbon and high-strength low-alloy steel plate from India and Russia are injuring or threatening injury to the domestic steel industry.
The Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) made the injury determination as part of a trade case investigating the allegedly dumped and/or subsidised imports, Kallanish reports. The trade case was requested by Essar Steel Algoma.
