BMZ exports first wire rod from new mill to Bulgaria
Byelorussian Steel Works (BMZ) has registered its first export sale of wire rod produced at its newly-commissioned sections mill No.2. A total of 20 tonnes of rod was sold to a customer in Bulgaria through affiliate distributor Belmet, Kallanish learns from BMZ.
Hot testing of the new mill was completed on 16 March, since when the unit has produced over 190t of saleable wire rod in coil. The majority of output thus far has gone to Belarussian nail and wire p…
