Arvedi considers electrical steel investment at Servola
Italy’s Arvedi has agreed to investments worth €211.5 million to modernise Ferriere Servola, the pig iron unit that it recently acquired from Lucchini.
The sum includes work to clean up polluted land around the plant, which is in Trieste, northeast Italy. Part of the project is to launch production of electrical sheet, sources tell Kallanish. This is a product that hasn’t been produced in Italy since 2006, they say.
