Artillery shells hit Metinvest's Avdiivka coke plant in Ukraine
Ukraine’s Metinvest expects coke production to be halved at Avdiivka Coke over the next few days following an artillery strike, which has partly damaged the plant. “This situation will not have a significant impact on the operation of the group’s [steelworks] that consume products from Avdiivka Coke, including Yenakiieve Iron & Steel Works and Ilyich Iron & Steel Works of Mariupol,” Metinvest tells Kallanish.
