Anglo American posts Q2 output increases in iron ore, coking coal and nickel
Mining company Anglo American plc reports that its Kumba, South Africa quarterly iron ore production increased by 2% year-on-year to 11.5 million tonnes following a solid performance at both the Sishen and Kolomela mines.
Quarterly output at the company’s flagship Sishen mine was down by 3% year-on-year because of issues with waste removal whilst that at Kolomela rose by 14%, Kallanish notes. Total Kumba iron ore production in H1 14 however grew by 5% …
