Ahmsa reports Q2 revenue fall due to Mexico import surge
Steelmaker Altos Hornos de Mexico (Ahmsa) posted a -20% drop in revenues in the second quarter of 2015, although sales volumes were similar to Q1, Kallanish learns from a Mexican Stock Exchange (BMV) filing.
The fall of around $168 million in revenue was due to a -35% contraction in average product price caused by an increasing volumes of imports from China, India and other Asian countries, Ahmsa says.
