Mexico's Ahmsa expands plans for plate
Mexico’s Altos Hornos de México (Ahmsa) has already decided to increase the capacity of its new heat-treating line, before the line has been installed. Originally, the company ordered a 200,000 t/y heat treatment line for plate, but the equipment will now be delivered to Ahmsa’s Monclova plant with a 300,000 t/y capacity, says supplier Siemens Metals Technologies.
