ATI threatens lockout if union doesn't accept latest offer
The United Steelworkers (USW) union is rejecting what is calls an “ultimatum” in labour negotiations with specialty steelmaker Allegheny Technologies Inc (ATI).
After a meeting on 6 August, ATI said that if the union did not accept the company’s “last, best and final” contract offer by 10 August, it “reserves its right to take lawful action, including a lockout, for the purpose of supporting” its bargaining position.…
