AK Steel ties up labour agreement in Kentucky
US steelmaker AK Steel’ says that it has ratified a new labour agreement with the United Steelworkers trade union at its Ashland, Kentucky plant.
The new 42-month deal covers over 800 production and maintenance workers and has been concluded well ahead of the expiration date of the current deal. It will take effect on 1 March 2015 and runs through to 1 September 2018, AK says.
