AK Steel receives Justice department clearance to acquire Dearborn
US steelmaker AK Steel says that it has received clearance from the US Department of Justice to acquire flats producer Severstal Dearborn following early termination of the Hart-Scott-Rodino review (See Kallanish 22 July). It expects to complete the acquisition in the third quarter of 2014 subject to customary closing conditions, the company says.
