AHMSA orders vacuum degasser, soon to start new EAF
Siemens Metals Technologies will supply Altos Hornos de Mexico (AHMSA) a 150-ton, twin vacuum degassing plant, for the company’s No 2 converter steelworks in Monclova. The plant can handle 50 charges per day, which is equivalent to about two million metric tonnes of liquid steel per year, says the plantmaker.
