Volvo Cars to produce first BEV with battery passport in 2024
Swedish carmaker Volvo Cars says it will be the world’s first to provide a battery passport with its electric vehicles, after five years of development.
The move, set to happen before the EU rules take effect in February 2027, will start with the new all-electric EX90 SUV. The seven-seater with the battery passport is about to enter production in South Carolina, US. Deliveries will start in the second half of the year.
