NICKEL: Vale temporarily stops VNC operations due to protest
Brazil's Vale has halted operations at its Vale Nouvelle-Calédonie (VNC) nickel unit following a protest by independent activists, Kallanish learns from the miner.
The operations are being shut down in a safe and controlled manner. It is understood that there were no injuries, environmental damage or industrial accidents.
