COPPER: Vale's copper production, sales slip 5% in 2020
Brazil’s Vale saw its copper production and sales fall year-on-year in 2020 on the back of supply chain and operational disruptions, Kallanish learns from the miner’s latest quarterly report.
The miner’s full-year copper output declined 5.5% to 360,100 tonnes. In Q4, the company produced 93,500 tonnes of copper, which is up 6.7% quarter-on-quarter and 3.5% more than the same period of 2019.
