UK’s used BEV sales rise 57.1% in Q2
The UK’s second-hand battery electric vehicle sales surged 57.1% in the second quarter of the year, with 1 in 105 used car transactions being zero-emission, Kallanish reports.
The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) said on Wednesday that 16,782 BEVs changed hands in the April-June period, doubling market share to 1%. The annual growth comes despite the overall decline in both the new and used car markets on the back of components shortage.
