UK’s BEV market share rises to 12.4% in May
The UK's new all-electric car sales rose 17.7% year-on-year in May, leading to an increased market share of 12.4% in the month, Kallanish reports.
The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) said Monday manufacturers have prioritised the supply of BEVs amid continued components shortages impacting vehicle availability. The overall new car market shrunk by 20.6% last month to the second-worst May in three decades.
