UK, US start critical minerals agreement negotiations
Five critical battery minerals processed or mined in the UK are expected to gain domestic source status in the US under what heads of states called an unprecedented economic partnership.
UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and US President Joe Biden announced the so-called Atlantic Declaration on Thursday evening at the White House. The agreement will see the countries work more closely together across economic, technological, commercial and trade relations.
