UK grants £91m in funding to 4 green auto projects
The UK has awarded £91 million ($124.2m) in public funding to four projects aimed at making its automotive industry greener, Kallanish reports.
BMW is among the winners of the Collaborative Research and Development competition organised by the Advanced Propulsion Centre (APC). The carmaker is leading a project in Oxford to develop an electric battery that will rival the driving range of internal combustion engines.
