UK BEV sales surge to all-time high in September
The UK’s battery electric vehicles (BEVs) sales hit an all-time high in September, with new registrations for the month only 5,000 units short of the entire BEV sales in 2019.
The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) said on Tuesday there were 32,721 BEVs joining the UK roads last month – the best monthly performance ever. New registrations were up 49.4% year-on-year, taking a market share of 15.2%.
