UK battery research gets new investment boost towards industrialisation
Battery research in the UK is moving to the next stage of commercialisation, benefiting from a further £10 million ($13.9m) investment round by the UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) fund, Kallanish reports.
Seventeen projects have been awarded funding after a highly competitive bidding process. They will help create a thriving and profitable UK battery development and manufacturing industry, according to Pam Thomas, ceo of the Faraday Institution.
