UAW turns its sights on non-union automakers, EVs
Following the United Auto Workers’ (UAW) recent victories in Detroit, the labour union is now taking aim at other automakers in the US.
Over a period of six weeks, the UAW conducted labour strikes against Stellantis, Ford and General Motors as it bargained for better contract agreements. Across all three automakers, the union was able to secure pay increases, reinstate cost-of-living adjustments and bolster benefits packages.
