Toyota posts 50% rise in latest quarter profit
Japanese carmaker Toyota posted on Wednesday a 50% increase in its net profit during the October-December quarter, showing a rebound from the pandemic, Kallanish reports.
The company registered a profit of 838.6 billion yen ($8 billion) in Q3 FY2021, compared to 559.2 billion yen a year earlier. The figures were even healthier when compared to the previous quarter, representing a 78.2% growth.
