Toyota lowers production forecast for fiscal 2021
Toyota has disclosed its actual global new vehicle production volume in fiscal 2021 will be lower than its expectation of 9 million units.
According to Toyota, the company will "lower the production capacity of factories in Japan during this upcoming February, and lock down 11 production lines of eight factories for a few days because of chip shortages due to the pandemic."
