Tesla to spend $500m on charging network expansion
Tesla co-founder and chief executive Elon Musk said Friday the company plans to spend over $500 million to expand its Supercharger network, days after the entire division was fired, Kallanish notes.
The investment will create “thousands” of new chargers this year, he added.
The figure will only be spent on new sites and expansion and does not include operations costs, which Musk said are “much higher”.
