Tesla Shanghai's Megapack project receives approval
Tesla has received the construction permit for its Megapack gigafactory in China, this is the first such factory outside the US, Kallanish reports.
According to the local government of Lingang Area, Shanghai, the project is planned to produce 10,000 commercial energy storage batteries per year. The plant near the Tesla Shanghai Giga will provide an annual energy storage scale of nearly 40 gigawatt-hours.
