Syrah starts production at US anode plant
Australia-listed Syrah Resources announced Friday it has commissioned its Vidalia anode active materials (AAM) plant in Louisiana, US, Kallanish reports.
The 11,250-tonne project is the first vertically integrated natural graphite AMM supplier outside China. The plant, which processes natural graphite from Syrah’s Balama mine in Mozambique, will supply 8,000 t/y AAM to Tesla.
