Swedish agency backs Altris’ sodium-ion battery pilot plant
The Swedish Energy Agency will provide sodium-ion battery developer Altris with a SEK 77 million ($7.47m) grant for a pilot plant to produce its first cells, Kallanish learns from the company.
The funding comes under Sweden’s Industrial Leap and the EU’s NextGenerationEU schemes. The backing will enable Altris to “take the next step” on its commercialisation journey with a demonstration plant in Uppsala, Sweden. Capacity details are yet to…
