Svolt Energy cancels Brandenburg gigafactory plan
Chinese battery manufacturer Svolt Energy has cancelled a plan to establish a battery plant in Lauchhammer, in Germany’s Brandenburg state citing unfavourable market conditions.
In September 2022, Svolt announced the planned 16-gigawatt cell factory in Lauchhammer. Production was expected to start at the beginning of 2025.
