Stellantis invests in French sodium-ion battery developer
Stellantis Venture, the French automaker’s venture fund, announced Friday it is investing in compatriot sodium-ion battery developer Tiamat.
The start-up will use the undisclosed funds to build a sodium-ion battery plant in France initially for power tools and stationary storage applications. The aim is to gradually scale-up output of second-generation products for battery electric vehicles (BEVs).
